Axle Seal Installer Set – 9-Speed Honda & Acura Transmissions
This set of axle seal installers is designed to accurately install both inner and outer axle seals on 9-speed Honda and Acura transmissions. These tools allow for in-vehicle use, eliminating the need to remove the transmission to service the passenger-side seals.

The kit includes four 3D-printed drivers—two for each side (inner and outer). Each driver is engineered to seat the seal to the correct depth. For best results, use a rubber mallet to drive the seal, stopping when the installer sits flush against the transmission housing.

Installation Tips

• Inner Seal: Start the inner seal by hand to ensure the lip does not roll. Once properly positioned, complete installation with the driver, similar to the process used with rear main seals.

• Outer Seal: The outer seal can be positioned directly on the outer seal driver and driven smoothly into the transmission.

• Tool Identification: Each driver is clearly labeled for inner or outer seals. The profiles are distinctly different to match the specific requirements of each seal.

Notes

• Passenger-Side Design: Drivers are specifically engineered for in-vehicle use while the transmission remains bolted to the engine. A partial side cutout provides clearance around the engine, ensuring the seals can be installed without interference. They can also be used with the transmission removed, offering full flexibility during service.

• 3D-Printed Construction: Tools are fully 3D printed. Minor surface variations are normal due to the process and do not affect functionality.

• Chemical Resistance: Certain brake cleaners may discolor the surface, but this is cosmetic only and will not compromise tool performance.
