Honda Recall 26-084 Sealant Hose Sleeve Installation Tool

This tool is designed to assist with Honda Recall 26-084 when replacing the sealant hose valve on the tire inflator kit.

Because the sleeve is designed to fit tightly over the barb, sliding it fully into position by hand can be difficult. This installation tool slips over the rubber hose and indexes directly against the sleeve, providing a larger, easier-to-grip surface for pushing the sleeve into its final position over the valve barb.

How to Use

1. Perform the sealant valve replacement procedure as outlined in the Honda recall instructions.
2. Install the tapered sleeve onto the hose before installing the new sealant valve.
3. Install the new valve into the hose.
4. Apply a small amount of silicone spray or soapy water to the hose/sleeve area to help the sleeve slide more easily.
5. Place the installation tool around the hose and position it against the tapered sleeve.
6. Use the tool to push the sleeve along the hose and over the barb of the new sealant valve until fully seated.

Important

This tool is intended to assist with the sleeve installation portion of the repair and does not replace the Honda recall procedure. Always follow the applicable Honda service and recall instructions.

Notes

• This tool is fully 3D printed. Minor surface variations or small discrepancies in the print are normal due to the printing process and do not affect performance.
• Lubricating the hose with silicone spray or soapy water (silicone spray works best) before moving the sleeve can make installation considerably easier.
• Successfully used the same tool on approx. 80 recalls and counting with no issues.
