EPS Recall Assist Tool Kit – Honda

This tool kit is designed to assist with service procedures related to the newer Honda EPS recall, providing improved control and ease when removing and reinstalling the steering rack bolt in extremely tight clearance areas.

Tool Features:

• Red Thumb Wheel Tool:
  Designed with large, aggressive teeth for improved grip when loosening and threading the bolt in or out.

• Green Handle Tool with Blue Thumb Wheel:
  Engineered to help start the bolt during reinstallation. The slim-profile handle holds the bolt in position, allowing one hand to remain clear while the other hand engages the blue thumb wheel to begin threading.

• A hook pick or flat-head screwdriver may also be used to help initiate threading if needed.

Important Usage Note:
To fit within the limited clearance space around the rack, these tools are printed with a thin profile. Because of this, care must be taken during use. Excessive force or improper alignment may cause damage. When used correctly and aligned properly, the tools perform reliably.

No downward pressure is required on the green handle tool—it is intended only to support and position the bolt while the blue thumb wheel begins threading.

This design significantly simplifies and speeds up the recall procedure.
